BEACHFRONT INSPIRED BEDROOM
A central coast California beach was the inspiration for this budget bedroom make-over. Driftwood inspired the paint treatment for the furniture, dark Atlantic blue the walls and billowy clouds the linens. The furniture was already in the space, except an inexpensive wicker chair jazzed up with silver spray paint and an old side table reinvented to become the new bedside table. Fabric and trim was added to the curtains to give them new life at an extremely low cost. Our budget make-over may not have cost much, but it transitioned a hodgepodge messy room to one pulled together and peaceful. -
Nursery for a 21st century girl
There would be no pink or yellow for this little one when she arrived. We transformed a bright yellow "catch-all" room into a feast for this little girl's eyes with pops of green and orange, a wall mural. The stripe was created to add interest and bring height to a room with coved ceilings and no crown moulding. -
Office make-over
This office was too scary to even take a "before" picture. Imagine four mis-matched bookshelves overflowing with too much clutter, ratty old paint, no art and barely room to move around. With a hard edit of the contents, an out-of-the-way shelf and soothing color palette it is now a family favorite. And did I mention...the whole make-over cost just over $200? -
